The route from Fes to Marrakech is more than a transfer between two iconic cities; it’s a curated experience through the soul of the country. Along the way, you’ll explore the Middle Atlas Mountains, cross the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert, and marvel at ancient architecture steeped in history. Whether you’re a first-time traveler to Morocco or returning to uncover new treasures, this tour is crafted to leave you with lasting memories.
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Fes and drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its clean streets and alpine style.
In Azrou, you can see the friendly Barbary monkeys in the cedar forest. Then we continue to Midelt, where you’ll stop for lunch.
The road takes us through the Ziz Valley, full of palm trees and traditional villages, before reaching Erfoud and finally Merzouga.
Here, you’ll ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch a beautiful desert sunset. The evening is spent in a desert camp with dinner, music, and stargazing.

Day 2: Merzouga to Dades Valley – Desert Wonders and Rugged Landscapes
Wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast before riding back to Merzouga.
We’ll then visit Rissani, a historic town with traditional markets, before heading to the stunning Todgha Gorges, where huge cliffs rise high above a clear river.
After lunch, we drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing old fortresses and Berber villages. By evening, we arrive in the Dades Valley for dinner .
Overnight stay in Bomalne Dades
After breakfast, we travel through the Rose Valley, with a stop in Kalaat M’Gouna, famous for rose products.
We continue to the Skoura Oasis, known for its palm groves and kasbahs, then visit the stunning Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah featured in many movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. By late afternoon, we arrive in Marrakech, where we’ll drop you off at your riad or directly at the airport—marking the end of your desert journey.
