Day 5 : Fes - Azrou - Midelt - Vallée du Ziz - Erfoud –Rissani- Merzouga
Departure to Merzouga: Passing through the great cedar forests of Azrou, where troops of wild Barbary Apes (Barbary Macaques) live, offers a great opportunity to take photos of the wilderness. We then continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains toward the valley of Tafilalt.
Lunch will be served in a restaurant in Midelt. Afterward, we will drive through Erfoud, famous for its dates and fossils, passing several Berber villages and Rissan, the capital of Tafilalt (Tafilalt is considered one of the largest oases in the world). Then, we carry on to Merzouga.
Once we arrive in Merzouga, we will prepare for a desert camel trek. Riding through a series of superb dunes in the Erg Chebbi desert promises an unforgettable experience.
Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber tent at the foot of Erg Chebbi.
Day 6 : Merzouga / Todra gorge / Ouarzazate.
We will wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After returning to the hotel on camelback for breakfast and a shower, we will set out for a quick visit to the holy city of Rissani and Erfoud. Then, we will depart for the Todra Gorges to explore and take a walk through the palm groves of the Todra Valley, passing through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.
Following lunch at the Todra Gorges, we will continue our journey to Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate via the Dades Valley.

Day 7 : Ouarzazate, Ait Benhadou, Marrakech.

Amazing experience with a very friendly local guide.
Hisham was very helpful and was able to customize our experience for us with the little time we had to spend. He picked us up from our hotel and took us to the camel riding point. We then had a delicious lunch organized by him and on the way back he took us to the local argan oil cooperative. We are very grateful that he helped us have a great experience and enjoy our time. xabbitours is a very nice agency and I would highly recommend their services.

Ahmed truly made our trip to the Mergouza special . He was very knowledgeable on Arabic and English term while providing great background on the surrounding regions. He took us too small rug co-op in Ouarzazte where we were able to purchase a one of a kind hand woven rug made by the Ait waouzguit tribe.

Hisham was a great guide and was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip and was there to answer any questions we had throughout the trip. He taught us a lot about Berber history and culture, and kept us entertained throughout the trip!
