DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – ATLAS MOUNTAINS- KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU- BOUMALNE DADES VALLEY

The initial phase of the tour involves gathering the group from designated pickup points in Marrakech, initiating a picturesque drive through the captivating High Atlas Mountains. As we traverse the steep roads, the breathtaking views unfold, making the approximately six-hour journey from Marrakech to the Dades Valley a memorable experience.
Descending to the World Heritage Site of the Kasbah at Ben Ait Haddou, our guided exploration of the market offers an opportunity to marvel at fascinating wares within the walled souk area. The journey continues through the desert oasis at Skoura, with a visit to the Valley of the Roses. As we ascend along the road, you'll witness the enchanting sight of the 1001 Kasbahs. The first night of our tour is spent in the comfort of a hotel in the Dades Valley, where a delightful dinner is served at the Dades Valley Hotel.

DAY 2 : BOUMALNE DADES VALLEY –TINGHIR- TODRA GORGE – MERZOUGA

The second day of this extraordinary journey commences with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, preparing for a scenic four-hour drive to Merzouga. Along the route, we'll have the opportunity to pause in the charming town of Tinghir, take a leisurely stroll through the Todra oasis, and explore the canyons before continuing our exploration with visits to the towns of Erfoud and Rissani.
Upon reaching our destination in Merzouga, a warm welcome awaits as we are met by a camel caravan. This marks the beginning of a one-hour camel ride through the Erg Chebbi Dunes, perfectly timed to coincide with the captivating setting of the Saharan sun. The day concludes with an immersive camping experience in a Bedouin desert camp.

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA
Sunrise in the Sahara is pure magic—so waking up early is a must. Step out into the golden silence of the dunes and soak in the breathtaking colors of dawn. After a peaceful breakfast, hop back on your camel and ride through the sands to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting.
Today is all about exploring the hidden gems of the Merzouga region. From vast dunes and ancient mines to fossil-rich grounds and peaceful oases—this desert holds more than meets the eye.
We begin with an off-road adventure to a historic kohl (eyeliner) mine, then head to meet nomadic families living in traditional woven tents. Share a glass of Berber tea and discover their simple yet rich way of life.
Next, we visit Khamlia village, home to a lively community originally from sub-Saharan Africa. Enjoy their captivating Gnaoua music and dance—a soulful tradition full of rhythm and culture. After some free time for lunch at a local restaurant, we walk through a serene palm grove before driving to the wild lake of Merzouga, known for attracting flamingos during certain seasons.
The day ends with a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in a charming local hotel.

Our family enjoyed the 4 Day / 3 Night Marrakech Desert tour with Hamid. The tour was well organized and Hamid provided good information regarding the interesting sights/attractions along the way.
